Show Information

In a small Northern English town in 1947 rationing is still forcing people to tighten their belts, despite the war being won. The government promises fair shares for all, but the local officials appear to have their own definition of "fair" and high unemployment and a bitter winter give the people little to look forward to.

That is, of course, except the upcoming wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

The Production

A group of locals dignitaries decide to illegally raise a pig to ensure they have a banquet to celebrate the royal wedding. With the rest of the locals having to make do with canned meat and whatever their ration books can muster, shenanigans are inevitable.
