Show Information

Set within the majestic Paris Opera House, The Phantom of the Opera musical follows the tragic love story of a beautiful opera singer and a disfigured young composer.

Deformed since birth, the Phantom lives in the sewers underneath the Paris Opera House. He falls in love with the chorus singer Christine. The Phantom privately tutors Christine while terrifying the rest of the opera house and demanding that she be given leading roles. The problem is compounded when Christine meets up with a childhood acquaintance, Raoul, and the two fall in love. The Phantom kidnaps her and holds her with him in his den. Raoul is the only one who can help.

Director: Harold Prince
